E-scape Artist Team Reveal: Accent on Summer June 14, 2010

Accent on Summer by Elaine Dennison

School’s out, the temperature is approaching 100 degrees and the heat index is 105.  It sure seems like summer in Florida although it’s another week until summer officially begins.  When I was growing up summer meant day trips:  to the pool, to the beach, to museums, and, best of all, to the zoo.

I selected Ingeborg’s newest kit, Sketch A Zoo elements and papers, to capture some memories of our trip to Gatorland last year.  While not exactly a zoo, it does have lots of birds, exotic animals, and a petting zoo in addition to alligators.  If you are visiting the Orlando, Florida area, stop by for a unique experience.  The first page is Lily enjoying a llama at the petting zoo.

The second page was just for fun using another photo from our trip to Gatorland.  I was inspired by Ingeborg’s the World Upside Down where she shows the animals running free and a person in the cage.

Sara selected the newest collab kit, Summer So Fine, for her “Accent on Summer”.   Sara explains, “Our last summer in Bermuda before moving to the UK was spent visiting everything we could. Here is my son Tommy (then 6) helping his little brother (then 2-1/2) to see the splash of the ocean below.”

Perfect Summer

Sara created a wonderful quick page from her Perfect Summer page for our Summer So Fine blog train.  The blog train is available until June 30 so drop in and get a taste of Summer So Fine.
